Born 1980, "Terry" used to be in show business.  Though not a performer himself, he was the companion to another chimpanzee that performed world-wide in the "Ice Follies".  On 5/23/95 "Terry" moved into his new home at Southern Nevada Zoological-Botanical Park.  "Terry" seems happiest inside when the weather is very hot or cold.  He gets a kick out of watching people's reactions, and loves slamming on the glass to watch you jump.  When he's outside, he especially enjoys swinging on his vines and playing in the waterfall.  We often observe him "washing" his blanket in the stream.
