What's going on in the world of Arion and 3EB?(Past news and site updates) August 19, 2002I've just been out and about at a few shows and I must say after 5 years 3eb still manages to blow me away. Even with a shorter set, they are amazing! So a few things to comment on, I will be adding some newer updated pictures of Arion to the site as soon as I get them developed. If you've been to shows and have any feel free to email me. If you drop by the merchandise booth at any of the shows make sure you pick something up. All the shirts on this tour were designed by Arion himself. Here's a little info on font used on the new merch. Arion is a fan of Iggy Pop and the font he used is based on Iggy's old band The Stooges and adapted into the new 3eb. Lets hope for more great shirts, hats, etc designed by him in the future. As far as the album goes, there is no set date, no possible dates, but let's keep our fingers grossed for the next 4-6 months! They have been working on it, and I have a feeling it will be well worth the wait. All existing ticket buyers will be offered a refund and will be encouraged to donate this refund to the American Red Cross who will be on-site to receive both monetary and blood donations. I just say we all pray and hope for the best for the victims and our country. For Third Eye Blind bassist Arion Salazar, that included at least one woman's breasts. He tells LAUNCH that he was just doing what he was told. "I went right to it. I was, like, up for it. It was fun to me," Salazar says. "If somebody wants me to do that I go right to the nipple and, like, right around the nipple I draw, we have a circle logo that's like a '3' and an 'E' and a 'B,' in a circle, and I draw that right on the nip. And I haven't had any complaints." However, Salazar admits, "It's a rock 'n' roll cliché, so it's actually kind of tired." 05.08.01 During an interview after Sunday's Fan Nation show Arion was interviewed by Launch and had the following to say about Joey Ramone: Third Eye Blind bassist Arion Salazar tells LAUNCH that Ramone meant a great deal to him. "How rough is it when you lose, like, one of the greatest artists? And especially that way, man, he's like young, I know he was gonna do some more music soon. It sucks. It sucks s--t. But, I feel honored--a couple months ago I actually met him, I talked to him on the phone, I saved his voicemail message. Their music has been so important to me. I was choked up the day that he went away."
